Registration

Registration is open until February 28.  This date can be changed without notice. Make sure registration is completed before registration is closed.  Medical forms should be given to the manager at the first practice.

Players’ birth certificate(s) will need to be uploaded.

League age

Baseball is based on August 31 of the current season

Softball is based on December 31 of the prior year.  The only adjustment is for the rookie softball base on August 31 of the current year.

(SHLL will determine if a player can be moved.  No player will be moved if that stops another player from being able to play.  After closing of registration SHLL may adjust a division age breakdown.  Also, when there are not enough players to form a team, SHLL will request to combine league play with a neighboring league or give a refund)

Fees

Registration per player is based on age and what division will be playing.
Tee Ball (5/6) $100.00, Rookie Softball (7/8) $125.00, Clipper Baseball (7/8) $125.00,
Minor Softball (9/10), National/American (9/11) $150.00, Major Softball (11/12) $150.00,
Intermediate Baseball (12/13) 150.00, Senior Softball $175.00, Senior Baseball 14/16) $175.00

Volunteer is per family $100).  Each family completes 6 hours and is signed off by a league official.  Volunteering opportunities will be posted on the homepage.  Team Personnel visit Team Staff Info on the homepage.

Fund Raiser is per family ($50), Tickets are assigned to each family.  Tickets will be available on picture day; each family has a choice to pick up their tickets and sell them the stubs by the return day on the ticket stubs or do not sell them and fill out the stubs and return them to the table to enter and put in the raffle barrel.  Since the tickets are assigned to each family those families that do not pick up their tickets or do not want to fill out the stubs all the tickets stubs that have been assigned will go into the raffle barrel.  When the tickets are drawn on the date on the tickets not filled out the Raffle Ticket Assigned Roster will identify the winner.

Refunds – Before team selections receive full refund -$25.00.  After team selection no refunds

To be a part of a team, staff should go to the team personnel information page.   SHLL assigns volunteers to the team staff.  Only those that have been assigned are to be on the field.

Team Selections

After registration is closed the team selection process will begin, if team managers have been assigned. 

Tee ball and coach pitch divisions do not have a formal draft.  Requests can be made when registering in the car shared space.  Requests are only for three divisions Tee Ball, Rookies SB, and Clipper BB.  We will try to honor all requests but cannot guarantee any.

All other divisions will follow the draft process to select teams if applicable.  Requests will not be considered at any level Minor SB, National BB, and above.

SHLL does not change players from one team to another after teams are finalized.

Practices and Games

SHLL provides uniforms, helmets, and bats.  Players need gloves and cleats (tee ball cleats are optional). If players have their equipment, helmet softball must have a mask attached.  Bats must follow league little regulations.  The catcher helmet must have a throat guard attached. 

Managers will contact their teams after team selections and schedule practices.   

Games will start in April and end in June.  Schedules will be completed as soon as possible.  Divisions that play interleague schedules need to be coordinated with those leagues.   When we know the start of the season managers will be made aware of it to have their team's first game.  Managers will set a time to have players at the game field usually 30 minutes before the start of the game. This time helps players to warm up and the lineup can be finalized.

Tee Ball - Mon, Tue, or Thursday 6:00pm and Sat 9:00pm
Clipper BB - Mon or Tue 6:00pm and Sat 10:30am or Noon
National - Tue or Wed 6:00pm and Sat 10:30am or 1:00pm
Immediate - Thursday 6:00pm or Sat 5:00pm
Senior BB - Wednesday or Saturday


Rookies SB - Tuesday 6:00pm and Sat 11:00am
Minor SB - Wednesday 6:00pm and Sat 1:00pm
Major SB - Monday and Friday 6:00pm
